Sachi Dixit

As the leader of the group Sachi was responsible for organizing meetings, setting deadlines, and overseeing the progress of her peers. She was involved in all aspects of the project, ensuring that all members are working with the most current designs and ideas.

Elizabeth Douglas

In charge of managing the manufacturing of prototypes. Communicated any and all issues that arose from the actual building of the device. Worked closely with the designer to resolve problems.

Ethan Ton Le

Primary role in the computer modeling and data analysis of the device. Had an understanding of the limitations of the experiment and compared the results obtained with those of a similar device.

Jillian Obeso Estrada

Main role in designing the device and its prototypes. She considered factors such as its size and compatibility with the kidneys. She focused on finding the most efficient ways to anchor the device to the desired location.

Edwin Merlo

Key role was in researching the anatomy and physiology of kidneys, ensuring that the device is biocompatible. He researched material properties and had a deep understanding of the design requirements for the device to be functional in the body.

Jessica Lubisich

UCI Medical student that volunteered time to get an understanding of the engineering and design process.

Rob Taft

Second mentor, VP, and engineer at Nidus Biomedical
